This Friday marks a very special event in Preston's Alternative scene, As it marks the First Birthday of HOUSE OF MYCHO. So to put this special event in the place it deserves first of all we have moved the Festivities to THE SHIP INN, where we will now be running operations from. 'Fat Goth' @ The Ship - 04.09.09

Beautifully blending observational comedy with inspired lyrics makes 'Fat Goth' unlike anything you'll have heard before, covering some awesome hits such as 'Hitchin A Ride' and 'Learn To Fly' as well as writing some of their own fantastically funny songs.

Their cover of 'The Lancashire Hotpots - Emo' was fantastic, tho i have to say it did have one of the dodgiest Lancashire accent i think i've ever heard, but that somehow made it even funnier than the song is normally.

'Woodland Warfare', 'Monkey', 'Facebook' and 'Hot Love' are quite simply pure, make you smile til the top of your head falls off, comedy. It is clear that Martyn and Chris love every minute of their peformance and their enjoyment is incredibly infectious.

If you like your music taken seriously and technically brilliant 'Fat Goth' is quite possibly not for you, but you should maybe give it a go, you might be very pleasantly surprised.
